Improvements?

The administration seems to be really cracking down on the skirt situation, an is now issuing permanent and temporary skirt passes, a small yellow card marked 'skirt pass'. This has to be the first time Man About College has ever heard of such a thing is waiting to see how this will unfold. Man wonders what will be done if a boy is seen with a pants that is not bottle green.

Since the beginning of the top floor Heat Wave in that library, NO arrangements have been made whatsoever, to at least try to reduce the effects of this inconvenience (apart from the VERY old notice on the door which claim the AC Unit is 'temporarily' out of order)... as a matter of fact , if a chair is even moved to try to get somewhere to sit downstairs, the attendants promptly get up and tell you to put it back.

Finally, Man About College is curious as to why certain warning signs don't apply to everyone, and also why rules are sometimes conditional at this college. Males and Females could be seen in one bathroom this afternoon, brushing, combing and relieving themselves. Not a strange site anymore.

The thing that really gets me is that these people try to act like they're enforcing rules and they have any kinda standard at the college, and they speak as if the lower sixers started the breaking of the 'rules'... as if we were the ones who up n decided to wear skirts for reasons that aren't religious, or to wear skinny pants, or to have coloured accessories. The thing is that the lower sixers observed the students before them and based their judgements of what is and isnt allowed at that college on what they saw the students before them do. In other words, we saw for example many a short skirt for no religious reason being worn as college uniform, before we ourselves entered the college, so we honestly and innocently believed that the wearing of skirts was ok. The same applies to coloured accessories and the other things that are not legal anymore. So it really bothers me when they act as if we began the trend, when we were only following it. Was the admin. blind last year before we entered? Cuz it seems so. Were they terrorising the L6 students last year to uphold any kind of standard? I doubt it...
As for that male issue, well its only fair that if female students are being pulled up then they should too. But boys and girls always get different treatment. *sigh*
That danm library... I don't go there anymore, I waste time instead cuz txtbooks are heavy and hard to carry to school and a boiling sauna is no place for a chick to effectively study. Are they really serious?!?? And they don't open the windows either. Something better be done quick.

i have a suggestion, maybe we should start a petition and try to get most of the student population to sign up and show to the administration that these issues are on the minds of most of the student and that they need to deal with the matters accordingly
