The NEw HOt HouSEs

Goodnight to all my readers. It seems like many of you were slightly distraught by my last post but hey i was only playing messenger.
Anyway onto tonight's topic. It seems like some of our prayers have been answered. Announcing the arrival of our new furnished match boxes. Not only are they small but they are also very hot (especially the one close to the copy center facing the road) and we now have new students in our classes; the flies that hound the tuck shop have decided that they want to increase their knowledge level so they have joined us to learn a thing or two. I remember the days when I use to go to the beach for a tan but now, there's no need. The sun shines straight into the classrooms, providing us with a sauna and tanner. Who would have thought that college would have its only little spa. ISN'T THAT WONDERFUL!!?
The smell is like rotting wood and the floor board are already squeaking. But werent these rooms built just a few months ago. Thats what i call slacking on the workers part. Seems like they were too busy leering at the college girls in their skirts and pencil foot pants to do the job right.
On a lighter, cooler note. The air conditioning unit in the library is finally fixed. But before you do a happy dance lets see how long it lasts before it breaks down again. Now we all know that if it were some other part of the school...lets for arguement sake say the staff room, that would have been fixed a long time ago.
Before i go i noticed that a certain class was standing outside said staff room for the whole period before lunch. I took a peek inside where they usually have class and saw all the chairs were gone.
What happened to the chairs?
Where was the teacher?
Why wasnt she there?
I guess i'll just have to investigate but something tells me there's some drama going on behind the scenes.
Well, Until next time behave yourself.
Oh last note Parents day is scheduled for Friday. I hope they dont wanna see any of my parents. But why would they i'm a saint after all.

P.T.A.

Goodnight my dear readers. I would first like to say thank you to those who commented on my first post. The criticism was very much welcome and i would try to keep it more formalized, although sometimes you just cant do that to get the point across.

Anyway onto today's topic. As my predecessor said, i am a lower sixer and therefore my parents decided to attend this meeting at peace mo. Going there felt like going to execution because lets face it, the student body arent exactly angels and you better believe that our parents found out exactly what goes on when they not there.

Well lets start with the things that are gonna be banned.
1.Skirts are gonee. It seems that parents are now going to have to come to the school and let administration know if they want their daughters in them.
b)Say bye bye to skinny foot pants;time to get the scissors and start letting out those stitches.

As for those fun little trips to kiss me falls/hells gate or whereever, say adios to those. :( From now on any trip must and i repeat MUST go through administration and have the school's seal of approval. It appears this happened after higher authority got wind of the little umm mishap that happened saturday with a certain student. I guess someone told a parent who got a little spooked. So for those of you who went, i hoped you enjoyed it, the chances of havin somethin like that again are slim to none.

I hope nobody has been writing up on the newly painted walls and fresh scrub tables because according to this great meeting, if 'they' find out who you are you're gonna have to spend your saturday cleaning up the school; and lets face it ,NOBODY wants to be stuck out school on like the one day you could sleep in late to clean the school. :0 imagine if they make you clean the toilets..Nasty.

Oh and let me give you guys a heads up, parents were making suggestions to just show up at the school to see what you're reely like so lets keep the bad behaviour to a minimum.Letters should be going out by the end of this week as to who the teachers wanna see. Pray that you dont receive one of those, i dont see the outcome being great.

Before I close, how many people watched the inaugural balls yesterday? The Obamas make a lovely couple and more couples should strive to be like them. To see there first dance click on the link below,;Beyonce blew the lid off that song.

The Dawn of a New Era

Well goodnight to all my fabulous readers I'm heeeerrree. Thats right I'm the new man about college and its my privelege to bring to you all the latest on the all the highs...and lows and our "great" institution.
First let me say thank you to my predecessor for passing on this honour..i'll try and do you proud; realize i say try eh.Now i new to this blogging this so doh crucify me if my posts arent that great, i still have to catch myself right.
Any way lets talk about the BIG story, The library ac still aint fix;;
OH PLEASE. A black man actually goin run the USA and i goin talk about hot library, thats funny.
Ya back to Obama. Now I was just walking along the corridor minding my own business when I notice big commotion goin on outside the library. Well, me being my frontin self decide to go check it out cuz i know you doh even see that much ppl at assembly so i had to wonder what could actually get students to stand up under there for nearly an hour. I reach over there and lo and behold, there on a half dead tv that you could barely see, is barack obama officially becoming president. I was thinking well look at that, it take somethin that big to get these students interested in news. But between you and me, i think we only get to see that cuz dem teachers aint bin wanna miss it but doh wah bun school and look bad.
Anyway thats all I could think of for now so be good and dont be afraid to voice your woes cuz you kno i'm always listening.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
P.S. good luck to you lower 6ers tomorrow. Word has it that its parents meeting tomorrow and possible parents day friday. Oil those backsides kiddos cuz after the licks done share you aint wah go school monday and have ppl thinkin you were involved in some indecent sexual activities.

Out With the Old... In with the New

I’ll admit it. I’ve been lazy. Well lazy in a controlled way… (If controlled laziness counts as laziness at all). The lack of posts on this blog has not been due to some miraculous conversion of the college to a perfect place with no issues or complaints. (This isn’t the Twilight Zone people) nor has it been due to Man About College being overrun with school work or spending hours slaving away in that library. It has been due to plain, Grade A, Vincentian laziness! However…! Its time for this fresh legacy (if I may call something that has existed for little over a year that) to be handed down to its previously unknowing but destined lower six successors, who undoubtedly will find it easy to report to you on the ever present short comings of attending a Vincentian institution. Especially one filled with know-it-all, rebellious, difficult-to-keep-in-line teenagers. Of course not every one fits into this category but good news rarely make headlines.

I might leave my two cents, (the square kind) every now and then, but of course this might be difficult with me being ‘overrun with school’ work and all. Man About College welcomes the Next Generation.

Not to be confused with the Next Generation Network being advertised by a certain phone company, which Man About College secretly believes is just a fancy name for ‘same-ole-khaki-pants’ especially considering that Man still has to sell limes to buy their phone cards.
